Splashy

T-Mobile's Times Square billboard is one of the most visible pieces of real estate in outdoor advertising — a corner LED display purpose-built for the anamorphic illusion format. Splashy was a summer campaign produced with WONGDOODY, built around the idea of a water slide experience breaking out of the screen and into the street.

I contributed as a 3D designer, animator, and compositor across multiple scenes in the piece. Among them, I concepted and designed two of the campaign's standout moments — Iced T, where the T-Mobile logo becomes a giant ice cube submerged in a magenta drink, and Floaty T, a top-down shot of the logo reimagined as a pool floaty drifting on the water's surface. Both were visual puns that leaned into the summer theme while keeping the brand mark front and center.

My primary focus was the final payoff of the piece — designing and animating the T pushing out of the billboard into Times Square, with water splashing out of the visual space and interacting with the physical environment. It's the kind of shot that defines the whole campaign — high-end water simulation work that needed to land with enough weight to be the final thing an audience walks away remembering.
