Bloom
A spring-themed entry in T-Mobile's anamorphic billboard series at Times Square, produced with WONGDOODY. The concept is simple and striking: a garden in the process of blooming, flowers and foliage pushing out of the billboard and into Times Square.
I served as 3D designer, animator, compositor, and VFX artist on the piece, responsible for the full background environment — including all animation, lighting, texturing, and shading. To make the flower animation manageable and consistent across the full scene, I built a custom rig so each bloom could be choreographed efficiently as the butterfly passes over it, triggering the garden to life in its wake.
The payoff is the butterfly landing center frame, wings spread wide, the T-Mobile logo revealed on its body — the brand emerging naturally from the world rather than imposed on top of it.
